I create handmade recycled paper forms about nature and its secrets. Using papers found in the trash, I recycle them into new sheets of paper or paper sculptures. I also reuse old surfaces to make oil paintings. I make artwork out of reused and recycled materials to create awareness about recycling and the positive effects it brings. Observing the environment in its natural state is something that strongly inspires my work. Many people overlook aspects of nature, such as shells, mold and barnacles, because they are so common. I chose to work with these overlooked forms to accentuate the beautiful details and growth in each life form. Hopefully this work will challenge the viewer to consider the environment and its many mysteries.
